Service times, directions, and what to expect
COVID-19 has shaken up our usual worship schedule.
We are currently worshiping with South Monterey UMC and have two service options, weather permitting.

We get it
Finding a church is hard. Showing up for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help you feel at home when you visit Hopkins UMC.
Service Times
Sunday Worship at 11am.
Food and Fellowship at 12 noon.
Directions
We gather each Sunday at 322 N Maple Street in Hopkins, MI. You’ll find plenty of parking right next to the church.
What to expect
- Our services last about 60 minutes. They begin with a welcome and announcements, then some singing with words projected on a screen. Next comes a reading from the Bible, and a 15-20 minute sermon. After that, we take prayer requests, and gather around the Communion Table before one more closing song. Feel free to participate as much or as little as you’d like.
- Worship is so important, your kids are invited too. Children learn best when they can watch adults and imitate us…even if they make noise and fidget in the process 🙂 We want children to participate in the service, and encourage parents to let kids be kids. There is an opportunity for children to go downstairs for a Sunday School lesson during the sermon; feel free to keep your children with you during the sermon or go with them to children’s time, whatever feels comfortable to you.
- After church is food and fellowship. Join us after worship in the building next door for coffee, snacks, and a time to get to know one another. Ask a greeter if you need directions to the snacks!
- We’ll never put you on the spot! We promise not to ask you to stand up and introduce yourself to a room full of strangers.
